The design centers on a living pavilion that floats over a reflective water court. A veiled cascade marks the entry so you cross stepping stones through a cool mist before the space opens to a double-height lounge wrapped in glass. The canopy is held by timber-clad V columns that lean like trunks in a grove, shading the terrace while framing the sky. Deep overhangs, high-performance glazing, and operable screens soften the sun and invite cross-ventilation. Planting and water shape a comfortable microclimate, and greywater irrigation keeps the grove healthy.
The client was fully engaged. Together we mocked up the water wall to tune the sound and selected a warm palette of basalt, oiled timber, and bronze so the architecture glows rather than glares at night. Inside, entertaining spaces ring the courtyard while private rooms tuck away on the upper level. Noor at Sunset Grove is a calm, resort-like home that comes alive in the golden hour, exactly as our client imagined.
