BOUNCE-X Dubai

Design East played a central role in bringing Bounce X to life in terms of technical execution: We handled the architectural and engineering design, ensuring the physical structure and spatial planning were functional and efficient. We managed cost control and consultancy, keeping the substantial project budget within expected bounds. We oversaw the project through management and supervision, ensuring quality implementation from design to completion. Meanwhile, the overall concept from interactive zones to thematic design was conceived by Bounce and designed practically by Sam Carter, supported by Designer East’s delivery expertise.
Padel Court

When we first sat down with the client for the Padel Court project, their vision was clear they wanted a facility that wasn’t just functional, but that embodied a sense of prestige and modernity in the growing world of padel sports in the UAE. They imagined a space that would attract both seasoned players and newcomers, creating an atmosphere where the sport’s energy met architectural elegance. From the beginning, the design process was highly collaborative. The client was deeply involved in discussions around layout, material choices, and how the building would integrate with its surroundings. Their passion for the sport translated into a desire for open, welcoming spaces, ample natural light, and a clean, bold exterior that could stand as a visual landmark. Our challenge as architects was to balance these aspirations with technical considerations optimal court dimensions, ventilation for comfort, and the integration of high-spec lighting systems to ensure the best playing experience. The façade, with its minimalist geometry and light-toned cladding, was intentionally designed to convey a sense of modern refinement while maintaining durability in Dubai’s climate. Every detail was shaped with purpose. The building’s proportions and placement allow for easy flow of players and spectators, while the subtle interplay of glass and solid surfaces gives the structure both openness and presence. Standing back on completion, it’s more than just a sports venue it’s a statement of how thoughtful design can elevate community spaces and foster a culture of active living.
