Every villa begins as a line on paper.

CHAPTER 01 — THE PLACE

A quiet plot,
between a padel park and a school.

The site sits in Nad Al Sheba 3, a premium low-density villa community, on the internal road between X Park Padel and King’s School. We turned its frontage north for soft daylight and kept the garden to the south for outdoor living, with high solid walls and minimal side openings, the home looks inward.

CHAPTER 02 — THE SKETCH

Four drawings to find the form.

5

01 MASSING

Simple geometric volumes on a strong horizontal base.

02 RHYTHM

A play of voids and solids, with the entry given emphasis.

03 TEXTURE

Stone for solidity, timber at the entry, smooth plaster for contrast.

04 DEPTH

Deep recesses and overhangs, layered so the façade holds shadow.

CHAPTER 03 — THE MATERIAL

Travertine, timber and shadow.

Six materials, chosen to age well under the Dubai sun. Light travertine carries the mass, dark stone and aluminium frame the openings, and timber warms the entry and soffits.

CHAPTER 04 — THE DETAIL

A mashrabiya, rewritten for the roof.

The terrace roof reinterprets the traditional Islamic lattice screen. We drew it from historic geometry, then refined it through two iterations until it balanced strength, light and shade.

FILTERED SUNLIGHT

Breaks harsh glare into soft patterns of light and shadow.

NATURAL VENTILATION

Warm air rises out; cooler breeze flows across the terrace.

PRIVACY

Screens the terrace without closing off the view.

CHAPTER 05 — THE LIGHT

One façade, two moods.

By day the stone reads calm and solid. At night the recesses we carved for shade become pockets of warm light.

CHAPTER 06 — THE INTERIOR

Living elements, natural light and organic textures.

This curation highlights the master  integration of biophilic design  principles within the villa’s grandest  spaces.  By introducing living elements, natural  light, and organic textures, the design  transforms high-end luxury into a  restorative, sensorially rich  environment.
